In 2391, the USS Fenrir set out with a new Captain and crew. Their mission? To seek out new alliances and become a beacon for the Federation's ideals across the galaxy. The valiant Norway-class vessel must face down the untold dangers of space while upholding the hopes and dreams of the United Federation of Planets; people of every creed working together for a safer, brighter and more inclusive future.
With such a bold mission, it will never be plain sailing. Challenges will arise, old enemies will resurface and in every union there are people willing to put ambition over principle. It's a brave new world out there; who will be daring enough to carry the banner of Starfleet?
Proud members of Theta Fleet.

I cannot tell you how lucky I feel to have such a great bunch of writers and all round amazing people on this sim. We set this sim up as a safe space where people could be comfortable playing in one of our favourite sandboxes, without the stress and anxiety that can sometimes come with simming...but we weren't sure if anyone would join us.…

Mission: To Boldly Go
Posted on Fri Apr 25th, 2025 @ 9:31pm by Commander Scarlet Blake & Civilian Lily Blake & Civilian Temas Latham
ON:
Temas Latham smiled to himself as he stood in the classroom. For now it was empty and, one of two classrooms. He wasn't the only teacher here, thankfully, but it was still daunting in a way. A starship. And as such it did have the look of one too. He looked at the desks set up and tilted his head as he considered it. Fine for later years, but a bit impersonal for the youngest students. He would need to talk to Bedi about that, see if they could change it up. At least the room's walls were configurable,…

Mission: To Boldly Go
Posted on Tue Apr 22nd, 2025 @ 10:22am by Commander Scarlet Blake & Lieutenant JG Riaothren (Ren) ch'Shaorhs
ON:
Ren and Jairic had been aboard the Fenir less than twelve hours, five of those hours had been asleep, but neither the assistant operations officer nor his charge were used to the time change from their transport ship to their new home.
The Orion teen could sleep in, Ren couldn't. His first meeting of the day was with his new commanding officer. So his uniform was crisp, fresh out of the replicator when he pressed the button at the entrance to the Captain's Ready Room.
"Come in," Blake called out, just as she settled back in her chair, a…

reached for a moss green eel question mark at the center of his plate, assuming he was following protocol since there were no detectable utensils. No one raised their voice or gave him a dirty look, at least he didn't think anyone was, so he felt his assumption had been correct.
The texture was just as he expected a Terran eel to feel. The taste, though, was different.. More earthy, almost mushroom-like, than what he expected something from under the ocean to taste like.
Mateo watched Ren’s hand move—unhurried, confident enough to pass for…

[ON]
The ship was underway and so far, everything was running as smoothly as could be expected. Ren was getting ready to leave to meet with Mateo.
"So, you're going on a date with this guy?" Jairic asked with a grin on his face.
"NO!" It's not a date, I'm just making a friend."
"Then why did you change your outfit three times?"
"Because I'm trying to get things just right. You know I think Jarin may still be alive."na
"I know you're still going through things right now," the teenager said, his smile fading slightly. He caught that his…

Mission: To Boldly Go

[ON - Continued from Part 3. And, now, the conclusion...]
Mateo let out a quiet snort that quickly unraveled into an actual laugh—low and warm, the kind that rarely surfaced unless someone truly caught him off guard. Team Awesome Force. Of course she had a name for it. And of course he was the heart-of-gold one. That was so wildly off-brand he couldn’t even protest it. He tilted his head, brows lifting as he looked at Aria like she’d just handed him an honorary sash and expected him to wear it unironically. “Sassy with a heart of gold,” he echoed,…

When the universe felt young and the days were endless…
We always start stories with that, to make sure the audience knows they are stories. Fables or parables, myths or legends, rooted in history or in fiction. We open with that to show that this isn’t real, that there is comfort to be found no matter how dark something is.
So.
When the universe felt young and the days were endless, there lived a King and Queen on a planet of peace. They were not the only King and Queen, for there were many, and their subjects lived in harmony…

That didn’t go as planned. Not that I had a plan. I rarely do when it comes to people. I just have protocols—internal ones. The kind that aren’t written down, but I follow them like scripture anyway. Don’t initiate. Don’t overstay. Don’t overshare. Keep the volume and tone measured. Smile when appropriate, but not too much or it looks rehearsed.
Tonight, I followed none of those.
And still, it somehow… worked?
There was Aria. And Gabriel. And I laughed. Actually laughed. It startled me—felt foreign at first, like…

Personal Log – Crewman Mateo Gardel
Medical Science Specialist, USS Fenrir
Today was supposed to be routine. An ordinary shuttle run, nothing more than procedural necessity—one more thing to cross off the endless mental checklist I've maintained since reporting aboard the Fenrir. Simple retrieval, cargo checks, authorizations, and security protocols. Precise, predictable, exactly as intended. That’s how I usually prefer things—neat, structured, and without surprises.
And yet, today wasn't what I expected. It caught me off guard, and I’m still processing why. Usually, I avoid getting too invested in people or situations that aren't directly tied to my research. It's…

Encrypted. Private. Don’t play this back in public, I swear.
I had a long back-and-forth with Lieutenant ch’Shaorhs tonight. Ren.
It started with a holodeck idea. First Contact simulation. Open-ended parameters, low threat profile. Pretty standard—on paper. Except… it wasn’t.
The scenario was fine. Interesting, even. But somewhere between the part where he said “mermaids or mermen” and the part where I may or may not have made a joke about my Speedo collection, things... shifted.
I don’t even own a Speedo. I was just trying to be funny.…

I don’t know what I expected from meeting Captain Blake. Maybe something more rigid, more impersonal. Another officer with a polite, measured way of reminding me where I stand. Where I should stand.
But it wasn’t that. Not exactly.
She was sharp, observant. I don’t think anything I did went unnoticed. The way I held myself, the way I answered her questions, even the way I hesitated before stepping inside—it was all cataloged. But she wasn’t waiting for me to slip up. She was just watching. Not to judge,…
